Phew, what a hectic season we’ve had! You’ve been working so hard that you’re hardly ever indoors. But now that it’s getting hotter, you need a way to cool off. How? Marie’s going to help you make a nice little nook for yourself on your farm! This is a place where you can relax and read when you take a break.
Your very own Farmer’s Nook will be built in the Design Bay and you get to decide what it will look like! What you’ll need are Painted Feathers, so make sure you have enough Guinea fowls. Once your nook is complete, you’ll get a baby Mini Tobiano Campolina Horse.
If you are level 15 or higher, the “Nook No Further!” will appear. Click on the “Start Building” button to begin the feature.
The Design Bay’s construction scaffold will then be automatically placed outside your farm near the foraging area. Collect all the needed materials to start building.
Next, ask friends to help or hire them as builders.
The finished Design Bay will look like this:
To start designing your nook, click on the building. On the right side of the Design Bay is the blueprint to Farmer’s Nook. Beside the blueprint are the various parts that you can use to customize the nook.
You can unlock these parts by collecting Design Points. You need to unlock the Frame part first before the Hammock part can be unlocked.
How do you collect Design Points? There are three ways to do this:
1. Complete tasks shown in the task shelves. These tasks are locked and to be able to access them, simply raise or get adult guineafowls.
Note: Each “Task shelf” has its own requirement of guineafowls to be unlocked.
The guineafowls not only help you unlock the tasks but they also provide the Painted Feathers that you’ll need for crafting.. Get Painted Feathers by feeding your guineafowls.
2. Complete the quests in the “The Reading Bug” line of quests.
3. Post for help so your friends can send you one.
When you have enough guineafowls in your farm, you can begin doing the tasks. Each task gives out a different number of Design Points.
To keep track of the number of Design Points you’ve collected, check the counter at the lower left corner of the menu.
You start earning rewards when you reach specific milestones.
20 Design Points = Unlocks the Frame part
65 Design Points = Andiroba Tree
125 Design Points = Unlocks the Hammock part
230 Design Points = Resource Pack
420 Design Points = Unlocks the Bower part, a baby Mini Tobiano Campolina Horse, and 10 Favors
Note: When you reach a milestone that unlocks a part of the Farmer’s Nook, you’re unlocking the customization choices for that part and not the physical part itself. You’ll get to keep the whole Farmer’s Nook once you finish the feature after unlocking all the parts.
When you have enough Design Points, the Frame part is unlocked and you can toggle between the buttons to choose which of the 2 designs you like for the Farmer’s Nook.
I bet you’d like to relax in your Farmer’s Nook as soon as possible so go ahead and start collecting Design Points!
